ACTIVELY HIKING - SONNBERG TOUR – FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
To begin the week we start in Krimml and hike along the panorama path to Falkenstein and further down the valley to Vorderkrimml. Here, we visit the limekiln as well as the mineral grotto, where afterwards we will strengthen ourselves by a campfire. Then, we head along the Sonnberg path further to the watermill and to the private mineral museum belonging to the Novak family – there we visit probably the largest rock crystals of the Alps. Afterwards, a transfer brings us to the starting point to Krimml.

GK ACTIVELY HIKING - BARBEQUE PARTY ON BLAUSEE
Today, we hike along a part of the Salzach, to Gashof Friedburg and from there in to the Obersulzbachtal (valley) to Blausee (lake), a mountain lake embedded in a beautiful natural landscape. Here, we will spend our lunch break by barbequing. After a nice stop and a short walk around the lake, we will go back along the path back to the starting point.

INFO LIVE – MINERAL GROTTO IN VORDERKRIMML
The former fluorite mine was improved and turned into a tourist mine and made accessible for visitors in recent years. Because of its unique composition the Vorderkrimmler-fluorite ranks as one of the most beautiful occurrences in Europe. The greatest finding can be admired in an exhibition.
Meeting place: Right at the mineral grotto between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Experienced hikers have the possibility to climb up to Plattenkogel situated at 2,040 meters.

THE KRIMMLER WASSERFALLS - “HEALTHY WATERFALLS"
There is not only a massive natural spectacle awaiting you! According to recent research the Krimmler Waterfalls also have healing effects on people. The refreshing strength that the water releases will be investigated, together with a ranger, during this excursion. The participants have the possibility to test the effects of their own bodies by means of an implemented saccharin test. Before setting out on the hike, it is possible to visit the Krimmler Research Institute of the Paracelsus Medical University

Detectives watch out – it’s getting exciting! Everywhere in nature we encounter tracks. Together with a national park ranger, footprints and feeding traces will be explored and we will learn what droppings and pellets are. In addition we discover various structures and nests.

After approximately 4.5 hours we return to the Postalm, where we stop-in – and get our strength back – afterwards we will return to the starting point.

A magnificent mountain hike in the westernmost Tauern valley of the national park. The hike, accompanied by a national park ranger, leads to one of the two Gerlos lakes, depending upon conditions. A cosy rest in the Zittauer Hut cannot be missed. An impressive day-tour with a view of the Reichenspitze and other 3,000 meter high peaks.

Today we are going to hike to the Salzachgeier, situated at 2,466m in height, from where we have a wonderful view of the Salzach sources and of the Kitzbühler Alps and Hohe Tauern alpine world. The 1st stage, to the Salzach Hut, we will master with a transfer bus. From there, we will hike approx. 2.5 hours uphill and will reach our tour-target via a hiking path. On the way back we will stop-in at the Salzach Hut. After regaining our strength, we head along the Salzach valley, where we will drive back with a transfer bus.

GK ACTIVELY HIKING - ALONG THE SUNNY SIDE TO KRÖNDLHORN
Drive with the transfer bus in to the Nadernachtal (valley) to Watschalm. There, we strap on our backpacks and follow a pleasant path towards Watsch-Hochalm. From here it will get a bit steeper and we follow the path along lush alpine meadows, to the foot of Kröndlhorn. Before conquering the summit, we still have another small gorge to overcome, in order to reach Kröndlhorn situated at 2,444 m. The fantastic view, at the chapel, will give the true sense of the word “goose bumps”.

We begin our tour very comfortably and drive with a national park-taxi up to the head of Krimmler Achental (valley). During the ascent to the hut a wonderful alpine panorama surrounds you, which accompanies us up to “ice-lake”, which lies approx.15 minutes from the hut. This Eissee resulted from the melting of glaciers. We will have a well deserved stop-in back at the Warnsdorfer hut! The host of the hut invites us to a healthy-schnapps and after we have regained our strength and rested we will return to the valley. At approx.3.30 p.m. the taxi will bring us back to Krimml.

Your hiking guide accompanies you the Richter Hut situated at 2,367 m in altitude. A national park taxi drives to us from Krimml to the Tauernhaus. From there, we will hike along the wild-romantic Rainbachtal (valley), past at the Rainbach Waterfall, right to the entrance of rocky landscape, which leads us on a somewhat steep and gradient, good and a secure path right to the hut. A magnificent view of the Hohe Tauern alpine world and the Reichenspitz Group awaits us.

FUN4KIDS – HANDICRAFT IN THE SALZBURGER WOLLSTADL
Here you learn how sheep’s wool is processed and you can try felting yourself and also make your own keychain, a “Schlinder”, a small ball of wool that is cut open, in which you can confide your secrets to.

PURE ADVENTURE– CANYONING III
Deep gorges, rushing waterfalls
For this tour it is absolutely necessary to have surefootedness, no fear of heights as well as to be in good physical condition and good swimming ability. The adrenaline level rises and for real canyoning-friends it’s the perfect way to go!

At the beginning of each event, we please ask you to present the guest card with the GK endorsement. If you should not have possession of the guest card, the hiking guide fee, in the amount of € 10.00 per person, is to be paid.
The minimum number of participants for all hikes (unless otherwise specified) is 2 people, for the "Sporty Active" and "Pure Adventure" programme items 4-5 people.
No transfer fees need to be paid for children under 6 years of age.
